Problem Statement

Imagine you are the PM working in this company. How would you improve the product?
  • Think about why the product exists in the first place. Who are its users? Why do they use the product?
  • What would be the most pressing problem that the company might be facing in terms of growth?
  • Analyze the problems that users face with the product. Which of these user problems translate to hampering business growth as you outlined above?
  • Come up with 3 potential solutions to address those problems
  • Recommend the best solution outlining the reasons for your choice
  • How would you measure the success of the chosen solution?
  • Why might your proposed solution fail?

Improve retention for slice

Problem Statement

Youโ€™ve joined Slice as a Director of Product. You have observed that apart from the discounts in Slice Spark for a limited time period and the incentive of 1-2% cashback on full payment if not sliced in 3 EMIโ€™s, thereโ€™s no other reason for users to remain with Slice. Even though these are lucrative features to acquire more users, the real problem is being faced to retain these users for more than a few months. You, as Director of Product at Slice, have decided to propose 2-3 features, that can be launched to improve retention of users.

Improve retention for audible

Problem Statement

Youโ€™ve joined as VP of Product Management at Audible. You feel you are unable to retain your users because of tough competition from other streaming apps, as well as users switching to a Kindle or going back to physical books. Users sign up for your app, and take a subscription for a month or two to try the app, but usually discontinue the services post that. You wish to focus more on retaining these users than acquiring new users.
